Local consulting firm Sandbox moved its headquarters from the Arts District to a recently sold office building in Shockoe Slip on July 29, according to reporting from Richmond BizSense.

The relocation shifts the firm between two of Richmond’s historic business corridors. According to Richmond BizSense, the move follows the recent sale of the Shockoe Slip property, though specific financial terms of the lease or the building acquisition were not disclosed.

Strategic Move to Shockoe Slip

Sandbox previously maintained its presence in the Arts District, a neighborhood known for its mix of creative agencies and galleries. The move to Shockoe Slip places the firm within a district characterized by cobblestone streets and a concentration of professional services and dining establishments.

The firm occupies the new space following the building's change in ownership. According to Richmond BizSense, the transition aligns with Sandbox's departure from its former office space as the company establishes its new footprint in the Slip.
