Channel RVA is launching Games Live, a nightly trivia and game platform built around Richmond restaurants, bars, and breweries. Official launch date coming soon — partner venues are being signed now.

Channel RVA is building something new for the city, and we want Richmond''s restaurants, bars, and breweries in on it from day one. Today we''re announcing ChannelRVA Games Live, a live trivia and game platform designed for the places where Richmonders already go to eat, drink, and hang out with friends. An official launch date is coming soon. Until then, we''re focused on signing partner venues and finishing a player experience worth showing up for.

What Games Live is

Games Live is a nightly schedule of short, replayable games — trivia, neighborhood guessing, "right restaurant, wrong details," bar-tab over/unders, and more — playable on a phone at any participating venue. A house TV runs the live ticker and leaderboard. Players earn cred, win prizes, and discover where to go next from the Games Live schedule and venue directory.

Why we''re starting with restaurants, bars, and breweries

Restaurants, bars, and breweries live and die on butts in seats. They need recurring traffic on slow nights, longer dwell times, bigger tabs, and reasons for regulars to come back without a discount that eats the margin. Games Live is built around those exact numbers. Every game mechanic — the schedule, the prize calendar, the bar-tab guessing game, the venue-specific specials in the ticker — is designed to move one of them.

We''re being deliberate about that. We''re not bolting trivia onto a content site. We''re building a platform whose first job is to put more people in our partner venues more often, and whose second job is to give those people something genuinely fun to do while they''re there.

What partner venues get

What players get

The game catalog leans into Richmond on purpose. Name That Neighborhood, Right Restaurant Wrong Details, local trivia tied to the streets and the history people actually live with — every round is a small invitation to know the city a little better. Regulars sharpen their sense of the place they''ve chosen. People in from out of town leave knowing more about Richmond than the postcard version. That''s the bar we''re holding the game design to.

Restaurants, bars, breweries — come in early

If you run a venue in Richmond and you want more traffic, more loyalty, longer tabs, and a steady channel to people who are choosing where to spend their night, this is the moment to get on the list.

See the Games Live partnership program and we''ll walk you through onboarding, scheduling, and the launch-night plan.
