In this episode of Vera House Unscripted, we discuss a range of Richmond topics including Dominion Energy, Richmond's rapid growth, Busch Gardens, disappearing local landmarks, community, historic architecture, and why preserving what makes Richmond unique matters more than ever.

We start with the silly and viral "Richmond is the New Miami" trend before discussing Dominion Energy's proposed rate increase, the upcoming public hearing, and how rising utility costs continue to affect Virginians. We also share updates on the Richmond Parallel Parking Championships and the importance of creating real-world community events.

Later in the episode, we dive into Busch Gardens' financial challenges, the demolition of Richmond's iconic dinosaur-themed Putt-Putt course, and how redevelopment continues to reshape the city. We also explore Richmond nostalgia, historic architecture, Old City Hall, and why so many longtime landmarks seem to be disappearing.

The second half of the episode focuses on finding community in modern life, from Richmond hobby groups to the importance of good news, while reflecting on Richmond's growth, the city's changing identity, and how to preserve the character that makes it special.

Topics include Dominion Energy, Richmond growth, Busch Gardens, Putt-Putt, Richmond nostalgia, Old City Hall, historic architecture, Carytown Run Club, community, local development, Richmond history, and positive local news.
