What started as a joke on our podcast somehow became a real event, and now we're inviting Richmond to settle one of the city's oldest debates:
Who can actually parallel park?
Whether you're here to compete or simply enjoy the spectacle, we're excited to have you join us.
Event Information
Date: Wednesday, July 22
Time:
Location:3001 Cutshaw AveRichmond, VA 23230
The challenge will take place in front of Mosaic Catering, with spectators gathering in nearby Pollinator Park.
Special Guest
Joining us for the event is NASCAR Driver Noah Gragson, driver of the No. 4 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, who will be helping judge the competition alongside Myke & Perri.
Arrival & Check-In
Participants may arrive anytime between
We strongly recommend arriving early, as participation is first-come, first-served and the event concludes at
When you arrive:
• Enter through the designated Arrival Lot (see event map)
• Check in with one of our volunteers
• Present your driver's license
• Sign a quick liability waiver
• Join the competition queue
The entire process should only take a minute or two.
The Challenge
Each participant will attempt to parallel park their own vehicle between two Ford F 150-s provided by NASCAR.
To protect the display vehicles, cone buffers have been placed in front of and behind each car, and trained spotters will be monitoring every attempt.
Your goal is simple:
Successfully parallel park within the designated parking zone while staying within the rules.
Competition Rules
To keep the competition fair for everyone:
• Use your own vehicle.
• Rear-view cameras will be temporarily covered before your attempt.
• Please disable any parking sensors before arriving.
• No automated parking features or driver assistance technology may be used during the challenge.
• Follow all volunteer instructions throughout the event.
This challenge is about driver skill—not technology.
After Your Run
Once you've completed your attempt, proceed to the Exit Station.
A volunteer will:
• Confirm your official Pass or Fail result
• Provide your raffle entry
• Distribute any prizes you've earned
Afterward, we encourage you to head over to Pollinator Park and enjoy the rest of the event.
Bring a lawn chair, picnic blanket, or simply grab a spot to watch the competition unfold. Throughout the afternoon there will be live sports-style commentary, giveaways, prizes, crowd reactions, and plenty of memorable moments.
Thank You
This event would not be possible without the incredible support of our partners.
