If you've been putting off buying school supplies, clothes, backpacks, home essentials, or just want to stretch your budget a little further, this is one weekend you don't want to miss.

🗓️ August 7–9

We recently partnered with Goodwill of Central & Coastal Virginia and honestly left with three shopping carts full of incredible finds for around $200. We found everything from brand-new clothing to home goods and even high-end gear for a fraction of retail prices.

With National Thrift Shop Day following on August 17, there's no better time to check out your local Goodwill and see what treasures you can find.

✅ Tax-Free Items Include:

• Clothing & footwear $100 or less per item

• School supplies $20 or less per item

• Energy Star & WaterSense products $2,500 or less

• Portable generators $1,000 or less

• Gas-powered chainsaws $350 or less

• Hurricane & emergency preparedness items $60 or less

❌ Not Included:

• Computers, laptops, tablets & most electronics

• Jewelry, handbags & sunglasses

• Sports equipment and protective gear
