Hadad’s Lake, a large recreation center and waterpark in Henrico County’s Varina area just outside of Richmond was bought by a franchise development company for over $1 million, according to land records.

Rumor has it that the idea for the property is something more contemporary but similar. The buyer expects to release information to the public in the future regarding the plans for the property.

Following the auction for the property in April, broker Angela McClaine with Lifelong Realty, Inc. said Hadad’s Lake was purchased.

The land was sold in two parcels to O.P. Holdings, LLC, an N.C.-based franchise development business.
