We're back. Yesterday I built the shell for Simmer Circle — the sauce-sharing app that lets friend groups swap homemade sauces in reusable glass jars, cut single-use plastic, and make home cooking worth looking forward to again. Today we finish it.
Part II is where the app becomes real. The shell is in. The data model is solid. Now we seed it with life — starting recipes, the affiliate product integration, a full test run through the actual user flow, and getting the domain pointed and live.
If you missed Part I, the concept is simple: make one sauce, swap jars with your group, end the week with six different sauces you didn't have to make yourself. Same reusable glass containers circulate in the group indefinitely. The app handles the coordination — who's making what, when the meetup is, dietary flags, jar inventory, cycle assignments. Today we make it something you'd actually hand to a friend and say "download this."
🛠️ WHAT WE'RE FINISHING TODAY:
- Starter recipe library — seeding Simmer Circle with real sauce recipes out of the gate
- Amazon affiliate account integration — proper kit links so new groups can get set up with the right jars from day one
- Full user flow test — auth, group creation, QR invite, waiting room, cycle assignment, recipe card, jar tracking
- Domain connection — simmercircle.com goes live
- Work on a new research app I built overnight
🔴 This is part of my 52 Apps in 52 Weeks challenge — shipping one complete app every week, live, in public, no traditional coding required.
