Day 2. Sunday. 10 AM. We're back.

Yesterday we started two apps from scratch — Travel Thrift, a platform that connects travelers with local merchant discounts before they ever leave home, and Passport to Space, a space tourism intelligence site built for people who are seriously planning to go to space. Both made serious progress. Neither is done. Today we finish what we started — and then we keep moving.

This is the 52 Apps in 52 Weeks challenge. We don't let builds sit. We ship.

✈️ FINISHING TRAVEL THRIFT

Yesterday we laid the foundation: traveler onboarding, trip planning flows, budget-setting, and the merchant dashboard. Today we close it out. That means wiring up the discount extension system that lets merchants reach travelers who've already committed to visiting their area, polishing the traveler-facing experience, and getting the full loop functional end to end.

The model is simple and the problem is real. Travelers have no good way to discover local deals before they land. Merchants have no good way to reach people who are already planning to show up. Travel Thrift puts those two groups in the same room before the trip happens — travelers save money on real local experiences, merchants fill capacity they can plan around. We're not building a coupon aggregator. This is demand-signal-driven merchant outreach, and today it gets finished.

🚀 FINISHING PASSPORT TO SPACE

The commercial space tourism market is accelerating faster than the information available to potential travelers. If you're someone who is genuinely considering going to space — not as a fantasy, as an actual goal — there is almost nowhere to go for structured, intelligent information about what it costs, what operators exist, what physical preparation looks like, and what a realistic personal timeline might be.

Passport to Space is that resource. Yesterday we built the content architecture and navigation. Today we wire in the intelligence layer — the cost breakdowns by operator and experience tier, the preparation guides, and the editorial structure that makes this a destination, not just a landing page. By the end of today's stream, Passport to Space is a real site.
