Today we're building out the restaurant and bar expansion layer for Channel RVA Games — an interactive live entertainment network that runs on screens inside Richmond venues, with players participating in real time from their phones.
This isn't a bar trivia app. It's a local media network with a venue distribution channel. Think broadcast TV — with a daily schedule, commercial breaks, and original programming — except the audience controls the action from their phones. Every bar in the network runs the same schedule simultaneously, creating city-wide leaderboards, cross-venue tournaments, and the feeling that Richmond is playing together, wherever you are tonight.
Today's build focuses on the venue-facing layer: onboarding, the venue dashboard, prize management, and the hardware experience — a pre-configured Raspberry Pi that plugs into any HDMI TV and boots straight into kiosk mode. Two-minute setup. No IT department. No app store.
Games in the library: Last Standing, Alibi, Hot Take, Waves, The Lineup, RVA: What's the Price?, Photo Round, Name That Tune RVA Edition, Confessional, and Singles Spotlight. Each one built around the phone/screen split — the screen shows shared truth, the phone holds your private choices, and the drama happens when they collide in front of the room.
We're coding this live, building wide before deep, and executing in large autonomous sprints on Lovable + Supabase. Every decision gets made in real time — architecture, UX, data models, venue flows — on stream.
This is Week [X] of the 52 Apps in 52 Weeks challenge. New builds every Saturday at 1 PM, Sunday at 10 AM, and Monday at
