A note from Kel about choosing to share this conversation on video:

I wasn’t expecting this video to be recorded or shared publicly — only the audio. So when Sara sent me the recording, my ego immediately became anxious and insecure about how I looked in my blue light glasses.

Then I realized this was an opportunity to face my fear of appearing “ridiculous and unprofessional” and practice what I believe: stepping outside my comfort zone, embodying authenticity and vulnerability and forgiving the meaning I attach to ego-based thoughts about myself and others.

A Course in Miracles teaches us to be “only truly helpful.” My hope is that sharing this video, blue light glasses and all, might help someone else who feels insecure about being seen, heard, perceived or recorded. We can forgive the meaning we make and allow ourselves to be seen as our courageous, powerful, authentic selves.

The body often knows what the mind has not yet learned to name.

In the Season 1 finale of The Sigma Femme Podcast, Sara is joined by licensed mental health therapist, intuitive spiritual coach and "A Course in Miracles" teacher Kel Lash for a conversation about embodiment, forgiveness and the wisdom available when we begin listening to the body instead of overriding it.

Kel shares how discovering somatic therapy transformed both her personal healing and clinical practice, shifting her understanding of trauma, boundaries and emotional regulation. She explores how the body communicates through sensation, emotion and nervous system responses that often emerge before the mind has formed a story.

They discuss co-regulation, consent, platonic touch, community and the importance of relationships that allow us to feel safe enough to become fully ourselves. They also explore emotional sovereignty, self-forgiveness and why curiosity may be one of the most powerful pathways to compassion.

The conversation examines the cultural conditioning that teaches us to disconnect from our bodies in the name of productivity, perfection and performance. Kel offers another possibility: reconnecting body, mind and spirit so healing becomes a process of remembering how to listen.

At the heart of the conversation is a question: What becomes possible when we stop overriding the body and begin trusting its wisdom?

**In this episode:**

• Somatic therapy and learning to listen to the body’s signals
